Volunteering Opportunities: London Rathayatra

Date: Sunday, 18th June

That wonderful time of year is coming very soon – London Rathayatra! Rathayatra is ISKCON's biggest street festival. It features three huge, wooden chariots carrying the smiling figures of Lord Jagannatha, Lady Subhadra and Lord Balarama pulled by hand in a grand procession.

All the way through the procession, there is melodious singing, chanting and dancing to rhythmical drums and cymbals. The procession ends with a stage show, a festival and delicious vegetarian prasadam feast.

This year, London Rathayatra is taking place on Sunday 18th June 2017 from Hyde Park Corner to Trafalgar Square via Green Park.
